So I'm feeling way better

And its a good thing to going in to the last weekend and having it be three days and all. Well for some of us anyway. Have a new hair do and some new clothes. Looking forward to cavorting with the locals on Sat night after the awards. Dinner on Sunday night woth the gang and then fire pit with Mark and his mob. See you next week.

I'm sorry...I think....

I had a mental breakdown yesterday. I am truly embarest. Wow it's been a long time since I have had that kind of day. Anyway I want to say thank you to Peggy for trying to babysit me and apologize to anyone who I may have said something inaproporate to. And really to the people I talked their ear off about nothing..... Please pass this along to any affected parties. As I'm sure i don't remember who they are. I'm going to go hide in my hole now for a little while.

Saving Butch

I am posting today to save my friend Butch from the self imposed insanity that is his day job. I would love to be able to say that I had no idea of his misery but I do. I put myself through most of high school and several trade schools temping full time. ( didn't have the bod to work the pole) However I enjoied the power that comes from only being in the same spot for a short time, I will now share some of the pluses of this kind of job. Parking. Free parking downtown and being able to assign it to various accounts and being gone when it came time to figuire it out. FOOD. being in charge of ordering the food for lunches is big. Being poor and hungry most of the time it was a god send. Being able to order from wherever I wanted and the ooppsss!!! ordering for to many people. Wraping up All the leftovers and storing them under my desk. TICKETS. almost all large companys have season passes or box tickets to all the large venues. Being able to go to concerts and sporting events for free cause I knew no one else was using them. great. COFFEE. coffee and snacks that are brought in for big meetings that most of the time never take place.another score on the freebies.. Ok so I am done dispencing my knowledge today but if you can't figure out a way to come out on top while punishing the people that have hired you I don't know what else to say. Hope this helps. And people if you have any ideas to help him along in his day feel free to post.

I am wondering when my life bacame this. Yes I know we have been here before with me but sometimes it really hits home. I was just in the grocery store and was excited that my favorite cereal was on sale 2 boxes for $4. I remember a time when Raman noodles used to do the same thing. Now I look at things and wonder if I should stock up. Than I was just hoping that 10 would last most of the month.
I sit here now and watch my son shovel in turkey and mandarin oranges wehn not two summers ago I would have been on a bike tour of the downtown bars with Dirty D. Living on diet pills and cesar salad from Pizza Luce. Now I hope my kid takes a nap so I can shower.
Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining I kinda like it here most of the time it's just when you look back it all seems to have gone soooo fast. Being 30 dosen't suck ...it just sucks not to be 25 anymore.
My kid is done eating so I'm off to find a snappy shirt for this weekend. Something that says I think most of you are a huge waste of my time. But in a way that doesn't make the dorks cry.

Does it seem odd to anyone but me that when the sunami hit we had 24 hour coverage and now that almost the same thing has happened in the states we only hear about it during news time?
